If you're wondering why I have been so quiet lately, it is because I am migrating this blog to the standard widget based blog. I have decided to save myself the trouble of creating and designing templates. I did one, as was posted here some time ago but you know as fancy as it looks, it is simply not practical. So to save myself further pain, I have searched and found myself a fantastic template that suits my taste and purpose. I love the widgets thing in Blogger even if it comes with ads and all. I will be adding Google Adsense since it looks like it does generate income and so out goes Nuffnang. I hope you will click on the adsense. By just clicking I am earning some money it seems. I really hope to get my Dell laptop. I am also lowering my space consumption for my hosting so my site will be hosted at blogspot except I suppose the reviews. I have to think about that first. I am still adjusting the widgets so the new look won't be ready but coming soon I promise. As for the older posts, I will not be migrating them to new template. I will add the links in About > Archived Posts but just to let you know, the images in there will be deleted so it will only be text based content. Just to let you know. I am doing a well like a episodic thoughts on Royal Tramp (2008), the Huang Xiaoming version. I am doing it slowly since I am watching the DVD. Well actually semi episodic thoughts. I am watching Royal Tramp aka Duke Of Mount Deer 2008 right now and there are quite a few opinion I wished to express so I thought better get it out of my system now. This is not an episode by episode review but depending on how many episodes I have seen, I will write for that group of episodes. Since everyone is familiar with the story (after 3 versions plus a movie version as well who doesn't?) I will go straight to my comments with a bit on the plot itself. Since it is a few episodes grouped together it can get pretty long and yes I do repeat myself as always. And rather crude as well since I don't have much time nor the pleasure of viewing the entire series to formulate a coherent elegant prose. As I am not familar with the names, actors as well as the China Mandarin, there may be times I am just unable to describe certain stuff. If you can correct me or fill in the blanks that would be nice. I am writing in comparison in particular to the Jordan Chan and Dicky Cheung version, not the books or Tony Leung or even Stephen Chow versions so don't be too alarmed if I kept comparing the version. I would appreciate if anyone can compare between book and versions? That would be great for discussion as I often wondered which version is the most faithful and does Wai Siu Bo in the end know like great kung fu? I remember correctly Dicky Cheung's version had that and I was fuming and well let us ignore Stephen Chow's version shall we? Anyway, do bookmark the blog. Since I don't have much time, I am just using Blogspot. The 1st 3 episodes is not quite finished yet in terms of some pictures because my connection is slow. Will complete it later. Official reopening of Funn In Second Life

Now known simply as FISL because Funn In Second Life is too long. I am so proud of myself. I achieved the look I wanted without using Flash although it is only for screen resolution of 1024 X 768 which according to my counter statistics is this site's most popular resolution. Even if isn't, I hope you will just resize the resolution to view this fantastic looking site. I checked in Flock, IE and even Firefox. All looks like how it should be. Loading the site in a pop up window as intended at the gateway makes the while laptop on the table thing even more awesome. I don't have a laptop, no Iphone and I certainly don't look like Funn Jewell but I'll be damn! The whole things looks like how it may have been on my table although the postits are a bit too big for realism. All these were achieved using Photoshop and Dreamweaver and the coding by Frontpage. I will be actively updating the site since I have been storing articles and I hope you will love the layout (loads pretty fast considering it is graphic based) and the articles! >> The gateway to FISL (click that link there, and a pop up window will load what would be my future worktable). IMPORTANTI don't know why but when in that pop up window, some links meant to be opened in a new window somehow got an error notice that the link is invalid and yet ignore that notice, it still loads. So if such is the encounter, ignore the warning until I find a better pop up window code. Further, I have deleted all new window codes and just make all links open in the same laptop window even if outside link until I fix this. I hate my laptop being pushed further down by those stupid bars on top eventhough I switched it off!I will be adopting more or less the same layout for this site, except it will be paper based and no worries since more than 5 visit this site than FISL, I will prepare a Text based and Layout based unless I know Flash which will be Flash or HTML. Cool eh? Let me think of the logistics first because I will be using same date for 2 sites. Meanwhile new reviews coming soon. I know I have been saying that again and again, but it's true. Finally a review!! Sorry, busy with that stupid tablet and my obsession with Second Life and bloody drawing a bloody wedding gown using that bloody tablet!!! Sorry again, watched too much Hell's Kitchen. I can never say the F word but I am ok with bloody. Anyway new review of the movie Shutter, the Thai version. Frankly never had there been any method so powerful to denounce piracy than these American remakes of Asian horror movies that don't even bother changing the titles. Just want to inform everyone who may not know or knows but doesn't really know that I have a sister site called Funn In Second Life which chronicles my avatar's adventures in Second Life, that really popular Sim thingy. Well I am dedicating that website to document the creation of a 1st gown. You know all those clothes that my avatar wears in those photoshot? Well I am learning to actually create one and I have decided on a wedding gown. Don't ask me why. Well actually I did explained why. Anyway I believe it is fun to read as I go through stage by stage, from total confusion to conceptualisation to hopefully, crossing my fingers, a viable decent looking gown. If you're a novice designer in SL or a pro or doesn't know what is SL or what the heck I am talking about, do have a look at that site. All my designing posts are posted in Designing In SL (look under Tags). Frankly I have no idea how there is an extra episode from my Episodic Thoughts of Land Of Wealth. I stopped at Episode 28 befor ethe CNY with 3 more episodes to go but according to my list there are 32 episodes. So it should be 32 but I have only 31. I may have misdate one or missed one but frankl I really did not pay attention to the episodes when I was watching the series. Whatever it may be I am very certain other than the ones I said I missed but I still listed the episodes, my recaps are pretty accurate and more importantly complete so please ignore the mis matched episodes. By the way I combined the last 3 or 4 episodes into 1 recap. So officially my work is done but comments are still welcomed of course. I will post the review later.
I am starting another episodic thoughts, this time Maiden's Vow. Hopefully I will get the episodes right this time. Your comments are welcomed but I hope you will forgive me for my language because frankly I hated the trailer, Joe Ma and Charmaine Sheh in 4 roles. That would be interesting.

I just added some new posts in Fashion & Trends as well as Photoshoot. It is actually the same post but doubles to show what's in my wardrobe and also the photoshoot at my most favourite SL island. Do have a look, plenty of nice pictures that took me forever to make and also some very nice dresses that are free. How I hope real life (that is RL) is also like that in second life (that is SL).

I have been planning this for a very long time but in the end thanks to Wordpress I finally got it going. It is a blog dedicated to travel and leisure in Second Life with Funn Jewell as my alter ego. You will find plenty of pictures, slideshows, etc. A pity I don't know how to record the sounds because they're quite authentic. For my first travel tale, I have chosen a rather interesting destination. The format is simple. There are several chosen thumbnail pictures to accompany my article, plus a realy cool slideshow of the entire collection for that destination and a link to the photo album to those who wishes to have close look at the various pictures. None of these requires registration and you will see the updates in Home itself so there are no need for any announcement whatsoever. Since this is a standalone website, all future notices will be added in that itself and not here, except for urgent matters. This is a notice actually. I will be doing an episodic thoughts on the TVB series Land Of Wealth which is starting on Thursday 27.12.2007 until the final episode, 32 episodes later. It will be updated daily from Monday to Friday after midnight and so no updates notices will be posted. This series will be broadcast on ASTRO Wah Lai Toi (Ch 311) from Thurs onwards at 9.30pm replacing CIB. Why am I so slow? Slow as in why I have yet to add the new reviews like I said I would?
Because the damn Funn In Second Life, that's why. The bloody layout was a-ok but when I posted it using Blogger, everything went haywire!! Which explained why I haven't added anything, posted anything, done anything other than what I am going to tell you after this paragraph. Wretched stupi layout!! Arghhhh...

Ok, to Sehseh and everyone else, I have just added the logo for linking purposes. If you have added the link at your website, you should see the logo right now. Nice eh? No? I am drained, my entire artistic energy is drained, and even if not drained, still very limited. So it is the best I can do right now. If you want the link logo, go to About > Link Exchange. Do check out the favourites link at the bottom of this and every major sections in this website from time to time. I just added a few good links.

Anyone interested in writing short reviews please don't do so, yet. The review form I posted ended up being a comment form. I need to change the code in each and every single page. This is such a hassle but I am sure with your active participation it will be worth it.
Finally, some ramblings
Anyway, just a bit rambling here. How does one say no? I mean the hardest thing to say is no. Not I love you. But no. Why? Try going to the supermarket, everyone shoving their samples at you plus all those credit card people saying "It's free, free for life...get one, pleaseeeeeee" and you just had to say no, no, no. I have never said so many nos before in my life except when I go to Jusco or Giant where I kept saying no, no, no. How do I explain to these hardworking souls? That I don't want milk, I don't want to buy nuggets, I don't want another credit card so that I can accumulate more debt, I don't want to drink Tongkat Ali or Kacip Fatimah or what nots...so I kept saying no, until I could hear Amy Winehouse's Rehab song in my mind, going No..no...no...Then I even got the lyrics. Imagine it is that Rehad song, the first few verses...

Saying no is really the hardest word in Malaysia although I notice there are many who are good with it, like dismissing someone with just a wave of the hand without even looking up and continuing slurping their tea. So what's on TV these days? With so many Asian channels on ASTRO, it would be appropriate to compile a list
here for your reference. Here is a list of Asian shows being broadcast via ASTRO Malaysia in the prime time
slot which includes local terrestrial channels. More info below.

The number indicated next to the channel title is the ASTRO
channel number and the time is Malaysian time (+8.00GMT).
Titles with
 means there are reviews for this title in our database. Check the relevant section for the said
reviews.
The list includes productions from China [Ch], Singapore [Sg], Malaysia [Mas],
Taiwan [Tw], Korea [Kr], Japan [Jp]
Some channels are dedicated channels meaning for example WLT [Ch 311], TVB8 [Ch 311] and TVB9 [Ch 311}
broadcasts 100% TVB productions which will include series produced somewhere else but the rights
bought by TVB, HDD [Ch 333] which broadcasts Taiwanese productions in 100% Fujian/Hokkien dialect, which will sometime
include shows that were dubbed into the said dialect and KBS [Ch 322] which broadcasts Korean productions which will include foreign productions dubbed
into Korean. Since KBS is a production house, I can only assume the series broadcasts will be exclusively
KBS productions unless KBS bought the rights to broadcast the respective titles.
Titles where its origin is not indicated means it is HKTVB production.
D means is dubbed, DL means Dual Language, M means Mandarin, K means Korean, C means
Cantonese and E means English.
So if you see ...
(a) Title A [Kr][D-DL-CM] in WLT [Ch 311], it means Title A is a Korean series broadcast in Wah Lai Toi (TVB) channel where you'll find it is a 100% dubbed series
with dual language where Cantonese is the prime language and Mandarin the 2nd language. Yes, even if it is a Korean series
some channels may completely dub over it with 2 language choices.
(b)Title A [Kr] in KBS [Ch 322], it means this Title A is a Korean series broadcast over at KBS channel and it offers only
one language that is its language of origin, Korean with not alternative choice of language since it is not Dual Language.
(c) Title A [Kr][D-M], it means Title A is a Korean series which has been completely dubbed into Mandarin.
It also means there will not be any original language since it has been dubbed over.
(d) Title A [Kr][DL-KC], it means Title A is a Korean series which offers dual language choice, Korean being
the prime language with Cantonese as the dubbed version. Hence you won't see D as in Dubbed in it since one
of the language is the original language and most probably the one being broadcast will be the original language
and you must switch on the dubbed version.
All shows listed are subtitled in Malay for terresterial
channels whilst exclusive ASTRO channels will sometimes have English and Chinese
subtitles in addition to Malay subtitles.
